Throughout my expansive career in IT, I have continually developed and refined a comprehensive project management skillset that is as versatile as it is deep. From early foundations in system and infrastructure integration to spearheading expansive facility buildouts and critical IT upgrades, my journey is defined by my ability to lead complex projects that drive technological advancement and operational excellence.

Early Project Management Roles

My project management career began at BMC Software, where I co-led integration efforts for the Remedy business unit. This role required managing the consolidation of campus infrastructures, which involved new build-outs, data center and lab construction, and campus relocations. These foundational projects were crucial for ensuring seamless integration of systems and teams, setting the stage for future operational successes.

Transitioning to Melbourne IT, I was responsible for managing multiple acquisition integration projects. This included three office relocation projects, a data center relocation, and a SaaS application suite migration. My strategic management saved the company significant resources by bringing delayed projects back on track and coordinating tasks among staff across the US, Australia, and Europe, showcasing my ability to manage and synchronize complex project requirements globally.

Strategic Infrastructure and Facility Management at Intuitive

In my role at Intuitive, I have led complex facility buildouts, involving the retrofitting of existing locations to create new manufacturing areas and the development of new facilities across the US. Each project demanded rigorous adherence to our high standards for innovation, safety, and efficiency, coordinated across a network of stakeholders.

Advanced IT Infrastructure and Security Projects

At Intuitive, I also managed a variety of IT infrastructure and security projects. These included upgrading call center software to enhance customer support capabilities, managing the rollout of desktop PC operating system upgrades to boost security and performance, and spearheading the introduction and implementation of Linux in our software R&D environment. Each project was crucial for maintaining our competitive edge and operational integrity.

Volunteer Work: Community Impact through Project Management

My volunteer work as Director of IT for New Creation Church further demonstrates my project management expertise. I led the merger and integration of two church facilities, optimizing operations and significantly reducing production times for worship materials. This project highlighted my ability to leverage professional skills in service to the community.

Philosophy and Approach

My approach to project management is characterized by proactive leadership, strategic foresight, and clear, effective communication. I ensure robust stakeholder engagement and adaptability, aligning each project with overarching business objectives and delivering tangible, impactful results.

Across various sectors and projects, from IT infrastructure to facility management, my career is a testament to my ability to not just manage, but lead in the dynamic field of project management, driving innovation, and operational excellence in every endeavor.
